Poet's Note
Oh lord, so I’m a poet now. I think this happened by default (a shrinking club needs members). Having studied fiction and drama, both of these inform my work—as well as that freak wing of visual art known as performance art. I think poets too often focus on intertextuality forgetting that all textual practice initially engages something that worked with larger cultural texts. Generally, my work starts from an impulse and I have no ideas about it until afterword. I hope you aren’t bored, should you come, which I hope you do.
