Biography
Frances Kruk is a dual Polish-Canadian ex-pat currently undertaking doctoral research at the University of London (UK). She works in noise, words, and paint, and edits yt communication with Sean Bonney.
Poet's Note
Recent works are concerned with ooze and hairballs, the musty pubic frizz off-stage, off-camera, off-(web)page. Clotted viscera are the metaphor and attack on sexy despair and boredom under moneyed shock & awe—the works mean to clutter the white, odourless cells of the page, the dainty hum of clean atmosphere. I am more interested in orchestrating sneak-attack physical affect than in tedious syntactical acrobatics performed in the name of lyrical evasion. I is everywhere just as sex is never private, and all these bits splat from the goop arsenal, whether as dirty concrete, audio fuzz, or plain left-aligned verse. In an anti-theory of hot guts there is no room for the tranquil poem, the measured response, the self-satisfied linguistic innovation of the totalitarian fragment.
