Biography
Jon Paul Fiorentino's most recent book of poetry is The Theory of the Loser Class (Coach House Books, 2006). He is the author of the poetry book Hello Serotonin (Coach House Books, 2004) and the humour book Asthmatica (Insomniac Press, 2005).
Poet's Note on The Theory of the Loser Class
I write about losers so I write about myself. I write about Jerry Lewis, Earle Nelson, and Thorstein Veblen. It's dressed up like social theory but of course there is no theory. It's just my attempt to create music out of peculiar words and phrases. I'm increasingly bitter and increasingly sick. I think this book reflects that.
